Opera Worcester (formerly Great Witley Operatic Society) is offering sponsorship packages for its next production : Mozart’s ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.
This 65-year old established local company has recently changed its name to reflect its commitment to providing opportunities for local singers and aspiring young professionals, and to bring live opera back to Worcester and the surrounding area.
This is a bold new venture for the company and any support we can attract is very important to us.
Last year a promising young professional, Andrew Irwin joined Opera Worcester to sing the leading role of Tamino in their highly successful production of Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’. Their production for 2018 is Mozart’s glorious comic opera, ‘The Marriage of Figaro’: fast moving, funny and poignant, it contains some of the most beautiful music Mozart ever created.
